Flying
So I have passed the 3 year mark of my clipped wings. I am no longer a flight attendant. For so many years it defined me. People would ask what I did for a living and I replied I am a flight attendant. Now, I just say I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I am a home maker, friend, sister, daughter, favorite aunt, and wife. Yet none of these things define me. What I miss about my old job is the friends and the being gone. It was also one of the things I disliked about the job... being gone. So go figure. One of these days I will post some of my favorite stories of work.... Coffee, tea, or me?

Hoppy Easter Bok Bok Bok
It is Easter and I have had the opportunity to have the fun with my husband and neighbors. We had dinner the traditional kind with Ham and all the fixin's. I think the favorite of today was the deviled eggs. Kinda crazy to have them before the egg hunt but all is well. The neighbor boys had about 150 eggs to hunt. It was fun to watch them tear across the yard finding the egg first and filling up their baskets. Lots of goodies for them to snack on. We finished the hunt before the rain started. It was a gully washer. Holy cow did it rain. It filled up our ditch and almost went over the drive way. The whole back yard was almost flooded. It seemed like as soon as it started it was over. I even saw two wrens before it got dark so all in all a great Easter.

Tornados
So, we have already had one tornado touch down a few miles from my house. We are under another watch for more of these swirling winds. Hubby is out working the streets. (Not in the working girl sense) Before he went to work, I went outside with him only to watch the clouds moving in two different directions. I made a comment about how that wasn't good and he calmly replied it isn't bad for us it is bad for others.... "That won't touch down here, it's moving to fast". Well I talked with my little sister shortly after this outside conversation and she told me "Oh yeah, we grew up in Cherry Valley". This comment gives me the weather girl status because Cherry Valley is in tornado alley. I can remember getting in the tub several times growing up, as well as getting under our desks during class. I will be more than happy to pass off the weather girl hat......any takers?

Ant Bites
So I was working out side in the yard, when lo and behold, I got bit by several different ants. My left leg has four bites as well as my left arm. Go figure my right side must not taste so good. The yard sure looks good. The flower beds are clean of weeds, the monkey grass has been hand cut, and the crepe myrtles have had hair cuts. I have the wicker started with repainting. Had to stop due to no more paint. Went to the store and got paint only to have to wait till we don't have high winds as well as high humidity. So next on the list is to paint the laundry room. I keep saying I am going to do it but I know I only have so many projects left till nothing is left. Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow......

Circle of Life
Circle of Life or so the saying goes. Well I was sitting on the couch yesterday morning watching the birds at the feeder. When Lo and Behold, ( I added that for you big sis), I see this little bird flying as fast as he can when WHAP into the glass he goes. I think to myself OH NO. I didn't happen to see the reason for him flying into the glass until a second later when whoosh out of nowhere comes the red tailed hawk. He scooped up the little bird that had bopped himself on the head and away he went. He had a fast food breakfast if I ever saw one. All that was left was a few feathers floating to the ground. I apparently was shouting for hubby to come because he came running into the living room only to see me standing at the window. His quote was that it was the "Circle of Life and isn't it good that we are feeding all of God's creatures". So let your spirit soar with wings of joy today, tomorrow and the rest of your lives. Afterall it is the circle of life.

One week home
The first week back has been very eventful... I have already made a trip to the er with hubby. He got bit by a dog while at work. Lots of stuff going on and it is only just beginning. I guess I didn't get enough hospital time while in Arkansas. I had Mr. G mow the grass/ weeds and the lawn looks so much better. No waist high weeds to contend with. My irises are very happy. I think they have grown 2 inches now that they can get some sun. I hope to get some blooms next year. I made it home in time to see two tulips bloom....yippee! They are the best color in the world. PINK!!!! Happy Spring everyone!!!

He's BAACCKKK!!!
That's right sports fans my hubby has returned!!! WAHOO! Life is good. I picked him up from the airport on Sunday. We both arrived home from being gone for an extended period. It was so good to hug his neck. We stopped at Sonic to have a burger and came home. We both napped on the couch. I got up and fixed dinner, we ate and went back to bed. We were tired after our travels. IT is so good to be home and sleeping in our own bed with our own pillows. There is something to be said for 600 thread count sheets. Happy sleeping to all and to all a good night.
